Add GRN (First IN) Date to Storage Aging Table for Stock Aging Validation and Expiry Tracking
Description: We are currently using the new storage aging table to provide inventory data to our clients. The table includes details such as SKU, Workspace, Short-term and Long-term Quantities, and Total Amount across multiple dates (e.g., 01-06-2025 to 30-06-2025). However, it does not include the GRN (First IN) Date, which is critical for one of our clients, a nutrition brand. Problem: The client requires the GRN (First IN) Date to: Validate stock aging to ensure proper inventory management. Derive product expiry dates, which is especially important for a nutrition brand where product shelf life is critical. Without the GRN Date, the client cannot accurately track how long items have been in storage or calculate expiry dates, which impacts their operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Proposed Solution: We propose adding a GRN (First IN) Date column to the storage aging table for each SKU. This would allow clients to: Track the initial receipt date of each inventory batch. Calculate stock aging for better inventory turnover management. Derive expiry dates for perishable or time-sensitive products like nutritional goods. Example Use Case: For a nutrition brand, knowing that a batch of SKU ABC00001 was first received on a specific date (e.g., 01-05-2025) would help them determine if the stock is within its shelf life or nearing expiry. This is critical for ensuring product safety and compliance.
