Currently, all return items that are rejected during the quality check process are marked as "Quarantined". This status is used to determine whether a claim should be raised against the item. However, there are instances where the reason for QC rejection does not warrant a claim, which results in a higher percentage of claim rejections.
To improve this process, we propose redefining the return status by introducing an additional status called "Damaged". Under this new system, if the reason for QC rejection is claim-worthy (e.g., Image of the item is not matching), it will be marked as "Damaged". On the other hand, return items with rejection reasons that are not claim-worthy or cases where the status is unclear (e.g., when other items are received in return) will still be marked as "Quarantined".
By implementing this change, claims will only be raised for cases where items are truly damaged or lost. This will help streamline the claims process and reduce the percentage of claim rejections.
