a. Problem statement: The quality checks are often performed for B2C orders as part of the order fulfillment process. These quality checks ensure that the products being shipped to customers meet certain standards and are in good condition. The specific criteria and processes for quality checks can vary depending on the nature of the products and the requirements of the sellers' business.
The current scenario doesn’t have this feature, which will later on raise issues for customers and sellers alike. As a result, it is important to build functionality around it.
b. Proposed Solutions & Benefits: To address this challenge, the following is the solution proposed:
  1. QC workflow: A customizable checklist workflow will be devised for different product categories and types. This can be a step-by-step scan based operation or a bulk operation quality check based on the self fulfilment settings the seller chooses. Conducting quality checks not only ensures customer satisfaction but also helps sellers maintain their reputation and avoid negative reviews or returns due to poor product quality delivered. It can also help reduce potential losses for sellers by catching any damaged or defective products before they are shipped out.
