We are happy to announce that we have introduced a new feature that allows you to create packaging directly in your Eshopbox workspace. Eshopbox will recommend suitable packaging when an order is created, and you can use this recommended packaging to pack the order. You also have the flexibility to change the packaging material when processing the order.

a. Problem statement: Packaging is an integral part of the order fulfilment chain. It impacts the entire supply chain and determines the speed at which the sellers fulfil orders promptly and meet customer expectations.
- Often, the packaging is largely manual and requires precision. Since this process needs to be in sync with order management and shipping, it becomes one of the slowest processes that setbacks the chain of events.
- Most sellers face the brunt of poor shipping experience because they cannot provide optimal packaging.
- Keeping a track on the overall weight of the shipments is also a required need for the sellers, as most courier companies charge based on the chargeable weight that includes the weight of the packaging. Sometimes, they face weight discrepancy issues when the order's weight (weight of the product items and packaging material(s) used during order processing) is not accurately recorded, leading to potential overcharges and disputes with courier companies.
These points make it even more important to have a solid system for packaging. The existing workflow lacks the necessary functionalities to streamline this process.
b. Proposed Solutions & Benefits: To address the above challenges, there's a clear need for an efficient packaging system for orders that are yet to be packed. The proposed solution comes with the following advantages:
- Recommended packing material: Our packing solution will provide sellers with recommendations for the most suitable packing materials for each order. When the product weights are already verified and the seller chooses the recommended packing material (which is also verified), the orders processed are automatically covered under Eshopbox weight protection. This means that in the event of weight-related discrepancies, the seller will remain protected, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free order fulfilment process.
