Current Challenge: During the GRN and putaway process in Flex ERP, there is no automated mechanism to alert users when a SKU requires WDL activity. As a result, users may unintentionally miss segregating such items, leading to inefficiencies and tracking challenges.

Additionally:

Manual Oversight: Without alerts, items requiring WDL activity may not be separated, causing delays.

Duplication of Efforts: If the same SKU appears in multiple boxes within a consignment, users might repeatedly segregate and process it for WDL.

Tracking Gaps: Identifying inventory pending WDL requires multiple manual report exports, making it harder to manage the workflow efficiently.

Proposed Solution

Introduce Automated Pop-Ups:

When a user pastes the item ID during GRN or putaway, the system should generate a pop-up if the product requires WDL activity.

The pop-up should include a clear message, such as:

"This product requires WDL verification. Please add it to a WDL-specific tote for further processing."

WDL Segregation During Inward Processing:

Automate the segregation process to direct SKUs requiring WDL activity to a dedicated tote during GRN or putaway.

One-Time WDL Activity per SKU per Consignment:

Ensure that WDL activity is performed only once for each unique SKU in a consignment.

If the same SKU appears in other boxes of the same consignment, it should not trigger another pop-up, preventing duplication of efforts.

Enhanced Tracking Mechanism:

Provide a tracking feature for all inventory flagged for WDL, reducing reliance on multiple report exports.

Enable real-time visibility into the status of WDL activity for better workflow management.
