🚀 What’s new?
Eshopbox uses weight slabs to calculate shipping charges (for example,
0–500 g, 500 g–1 kg
, and so on). Earlier, even a small increase beyond a slab—such as an order weighing
510 g
—would be charged under the
next higher slab (1 kg)
.
To address this, Eshopbox has introduced a
minor weight variance buffer.
If the weight crosses a slab boundary by
up to 60 grams
, the slab change will be
waived off
, and you will be charged using the
lower slab
.
🧪 Example
  • Weight slab:
    0–500 g
  • Actual shipment weight:
    510 g
  • Difference:
    +10 g
    (within the 60 g buffer)
👉
Charged slab: 0–500 g (lower slab)
If the shipment weight exceeds the slab limit by
more than 60 g
(for example,
570 g
), the order will be charged under the
next slab (1 kg)
.
🎯 Benefits
  • 💰 Reduced shipping cost impact:
Minor weight variations no longer push orders into a higher charging slab.
  • ⚖️ Fairer billing:
Charges now better reflect realistic weight differences caused by packaging or scale variance.
  • 📦 Fewer billing disputes:
Reduces cases where small weight differences lead to unexpected higher charges.
  • 👌 Better predictability:
You get more consistent and predictable shipping costs.
